Saint Valentine

We decided not to celebrate Valentine's Day BIG this year, and just have a regular Tuesday like any other day. Instead I booked us a romantic venue in Holland Park for dinner Friday, followed by a movie at the Electric. Tuesday was a huge surprise as I received a gorgeous set of roses at work. Then I arrived home to find a card resting on the table against a bottle of red wine, with a candle glowing, and a nice dinner waiting for me. It was such a nice surprise!! We exchanged cards and I was still surprised and overwhelmed with butterflies at the words in this card. It's a great feeling and makes all of our efforts worth it. I hope we can look back on days like this 10, 20, 50 years from now and smile. Sounds so cheesy but that's the way it is.

Dinner at Julie's in Holland Park was great! It's such an intimate place, I felt very underdressed in just my work clothes. Food was great and it's quite a cozy place. We went to see Brokeback Mountain. I thought it was a good movie, but too sad. Andy thought it was too slow. I recommend seeing it, if only for the eye candy!!
