Obviously living in the UK we had to work on Thanksgiving day. No four day week for us sadly. While everyone was out partying with friends/family, stuffing themselves, and watching NFL, we were thinking of you all!We celebrated on Saturday instead with a group of expats, some good friends which are the closest we have to family here. Our friends Forest & Claire live in Richmond and they made this gorgeous turkey. I am not ashamed to admit I have post-poned this ritual of adulthood and patiently waited for someone else to do it year after year. All the stuffing, basting, temperature taking, and carving, it's really a gross and carnivorous job, not something a vegetarian takes charge of. Every year I try a small piece of turkey. Still tastes like game.
